@pokebob28 i think i would VERY MUCH prefer aggressive hand waving and some IT’S A BIG REBELLION AND AN EVEN BIGGER GALAXY AND HEY MAYBE NOT EVERYTHING HAPPENED ON SCREEN nonsense explanation to….. whatever that was.

like i definitely get honoring what’s in the original films and that’s important, but does ezra’s existence or the idea that he is somewhere in the galaxy doing what he can against the empire truly undermine luke’s story..? i don’t think it does.  i think they can walk on different paths, while both doing everything they can to fight the empire.

it’s hard to wrap my head around the idea that just saying “SORRY EZRA’S MIA FOR THE NEXT 5+ YEARS WHAT CAN YA DO” does him any sort of justice.
