another thing is that zare shows he’s a great leader from the very start of the servants of the empire book, and he grows into someone with a very strong sense of what is right and the courage to stand up to injustice so. it makes a lot of sense that he would see the first order for what it is, just like he did the empire, and do what he can to stop them.

#same!#bring back the leonises 2k18#my headcanon is that Zare is an admiral now#i like to think that he was an admiral for the new republic who got reassigned to the outer rim to fight pirates#because he was one of the few who were blatantly anti-first order#and the new republic didn’t want people who were too vocal with their criticism around the capital#so his fleet was sent to some intergalactic dead zone with no signal and a pirate infestation to keep him busy#and he didn’t recieve the distress signal in tlj#so some members of the resistance had to go find him and deliver the message personally#I’m still trying to figure out where Dhara fits in…#maybe the pirate leader is a rogue force-sensitive darksider and she had a vision
