why does ezra ONLY have these visions when someone is about to die
My guess is that they aren’t really visions so much as an echo. He has a talent for connecting. He would have a connection to his parents for obvious reasons, and he would have a connection with Jho after years of interacting with him. Fear, death… these aren’t quiet events in the Force. And since Ezra has a connection with these people, he can sense when they’re dying. For all we’ve seen, he had these visions around the same time as their deaths, not before.
…what about Trayvis? Hera might have slain him verbally, but I’m unsure that counts!
that one occurred to me as well as i wrote the original posts but i…. Powered on and posted anyways 😅
if we link it to his other visions, it introduces the recurring idea that visions are rarely what they seem and can easily be misinterpreted.
this rears its head the hardest in legacy, of course 😦
i honestly think i need to rewatch to get a more coherent idea of how ezra’s reactions and understandings of his visions (or similar ~mysterious pulls via the force like maul -> tatooine) develops. BUT it stands out to me that ezra’s reaction THIS TIME in the occupation isn’t one of hope. he immediately concludes (correctly) that old jho and ryder are in trouble.
