we’ve had hera with han and hera with leia both more than once, but no luke!! 

luke is DEFINITELY someone she’d want to meet.  all those jedi rumors about luke AND the pilot who took down the death star??  in a battle hera had to sit out on and probably hated it (ah, the joys of motherhood! ;P)??  oh hera syndulla would DEFINITELY be interested in luke skywalker.  and luke could be interested in her too, for the same sort of reasons!

wedge knew ezra and kanan, so maybe imagining wedge mentioning them and luke immediately asks to meet them!!  luke’s always seeking out whatever connection to the jedi he can, because he’s desperate to learn anything he can and have a little guidance, especially now that obi-wan’s gone 😦

i can imagine luke wanting to speak to the people who were closest to ezra and kanan, since they are gone.  speaking with someone who spent every day for a decade with one and later two jedi is more than he could have hoped for.  it wouldn’t be an easy conversation to have at all, with the pain of losing kanan and ezra still so raw for hera.  but after losing obi-wan, losing beru and owen, losing biggs – luke knows loss just as well and he has a sensitive enough heart to know if he’s treading on too painful territory.  i think it would be a painful, but also really poignant conversation 🙂
