It’s cause the Force just needed Ezra to seal the portal. Kanan was the one that threw in “go grab Ahsoka” because she was the only one who could find Ezra after the war. (They clarified in the aftershow that it was Kanan, not the Force or the loth-wolves, who wanted Ahsoka rescued).

restore past(save ahsoka), redeem future(save ezra from having to leave his family forever and eventually dying alone in the far reaches of space without ever coming home to the world he saved).
