it hurts how desperate maul is to please and succeed 😦
god it makes me really mad how sidious claims maul is “what he values most,” but he’s only ever treated maul like dirt.
he’s ALREADY tried to kill maul several times in this book, and that’s ONLY the stories maul records
i loooovvve this bit. maul has some really powerful thoughts
“i am old enough to feel that i am already full grown and mature, but young enough not to know what that means”
is suuuuuch an evocative statement to me. relate a lot.
