the choice of Important statements from different times and places coming thru the void is faaaaaaascinating. most of these easily pertain to ezra’s confusion of what exactly he’s found here and what he needs to learn from it.

obviously the real world explanation for this is that the show’s writers decide themselves to put in what is most meaningful to enhance the viewing experience.

but for an in world explanation: i think the world between worlds draws upon the thoughts and feelings of a person who is in it and pulls snippets of things from other times that are relevant that person. others who are feeling the same kind of emotions. and even echoes of the very people they have on their mind.
